It has been tested at least 20x since I've had it and never had a product damaged because the HT800 failed to do its job. I get power surges at least 5x a month due to the lightning storms we get out here and the power strip will cut out and safely shut all your equipment down when the surge hits. Great product, probably has already saved me some money. I paid too much for my HT800 at Best Buy, but this is still a great product. I have my entire home theater hooked up to this unit (receiver, HDTV, blu ray, DTV HD DVR, Klipsch speakers and sub) and it provides great protection.

The number of outlets are more than adequate and would recommend this to anyone who needs this protection. My son paid much more for this elsewhere and I found this identical one for our use and am very pleased with the overall Power Center.
I believe I over paid. The product should be UL listed for a specific purpase. This product appears to work fine, but it feels hollow and no different then any other cheap AC strip for less money. Don't go by lables when buying a product. Be sure that any strip you purchase is designed for your electronic equipments loads etc. The unit gets hot and I dont see the difference for the money I paid. Monster claims all these features attached but I see a hollow box with some wires.
But at least it's a reliable surge protector, and the power conditioner part can't hurt. I cannot tell any difference in my TV's picture vs it plugged into the wall. The labeled plugs are nice, too. I try to avoid buying Monster products because they are incredible ripoffs, but I got a nice new TV and thought I would splurge, and the price here on amazon made it a bit more palatable. That, and I could not find another power conditioner.
